Tradition and modernity

Painting the world around him, such as women in the marketplace, workers in the fields, dancers and musicians, David combines East African culture and tradition with modernism in a unique way.  His technique of fragmentation, breaking an image into smaller geometric components, gives us a fresh perspective on African life and culture.  David uses fragmentation to reassemble images into striking visions of colors, forms and motion.   In addition, the artist

possesses an acute eye for capturing details, thus wedding his modern techniques with a sense of realism.  Truly a gifted artist, his vision is not only extraordinary, but unique among contemporary African artists.

”I'm never satisfied that I've done all I can to help bring the world together through my art.”
