James Kitamirike

“Social Moment” recreates an engaging exchange between women during the heat of an African day.  No one seems to notice or walk away, as minutes turn into hours, and young ones carried behind settle in for a nap.  This work also exemplifies Kitamirike's technique of Synthesism.  Realistic beads and clothing adorn semi-abstract bodies over an abstract/impressionist background.
