The
title His Masters Voice was taken from the old RCA phonographic horn
players, with the dog listening patiently nearby. This
work is about communications, and the artists attempt to integrate back to French
society (after a seven-year residency in Vietnam.) Here
figure is used as a representation of the human body, and per the French definition, the
human face. The artist is hinting at a
separation of the body from the spirit- A core theme in many of Lerouxs works.
